Allie is a writer from outside of Memphis, TN. She lived in southern Louisiana for nine years, but she currently lives in Little Rock, Arkansas where she teaches English and Writing. She is the nonfiction editor for Midway Journal. You can read some of her writing here. She misses New Orleans.
Allie’s short story collection, Dead Women and other stories, was a finalist for the Black Lawrence Press 2020 Hudson Prize.
In 2020, Allie won 2nd place in the Philadelphia Stories Marguerite McGlinn Fiction Contest. In 2018, Allie won the Big Sky, Small Prose Contest, and in 2018 and 2019, she won the SCMLA Short Story Prize.
